We offer several events throughout the year.
Gridiron Gang Camp
The Gridiron Gang Camp brings together 25 pediatric cancer patients from five US cities for several fun filled days in the St. Louis, Missouri area. The children enjoy a camp experience at Jellystone Park, a day at Six Flags/Hurricane Harbor Amusement and Water Park, an afternoon at Dave & Buster’s Arcade and concludes with a memorable day at Isaiah’s Run, a 35 acre private lake, enjoying a multitude of water sports. For the children, these new friendships offer encouragement and support as they navigate through their course of recovery. Game Day
The Foundation donates four tickets to each home UNL Football game to a pediatric cancer patient and their family, so that they may enjoy the Husker experience firsthand.
Daughters Day Out
Several Springfield, Missouri area Mothers and Daughters enjoy a relaxing day filled with facials, massages, manicures, pedicures, make-up and hairstyling. A Mother/Daughter photo shoot provided by a professional photographer is the perfect way to end a magical day.
Dads Day Out
The Foundations hosts a day at the ballpark for pediatric cancer patients, their siblings and Fathers. Some might also consider this event Mom’s Much Needed Break!
Christmas Round Up
Local restaurants in the Springfield area partner with the Foundation raising money to purchase Christmas presents for pediatric cancer patients and their families. A party is held during the Christmas season complete with Santa Claus arriving to hand out the gifts.
Kids Only
Although some of the events include the entire family, there are events specific to the children dealing with cancer. They are treated to a day at the water park or a night of pizza and bowling.
Charities for Children
The Foundation actively supports various children’s organizations through financial and/or merchandise donations in Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Illinois.
We donate to Shop With a Cop programs during the Christmas Holiday Season in St. Louis, Missouri, Lincoln, Nebraska and Springfield, Missouri.
